From director Roger Gastman—a producer of the Academy Award-nominated documentary Exit Through the Gift Shop—comes Wall Writers, a documentary on graffiti in its innocence.

Through unprecedented access to TAKI 183, CORNBREAD, and a host of other legendary writers, Wall Writers tells the story of a time when underprivileged city kids refused to keep lurking in the shadows, when the streets were so wild that fame and infamy became indistinct, when art became a democracy and self-promotion became an art.

And the narration is done by John Waters!

TOMOKAZU MATSUYAMA STUDIO is pleased to announce, a solo exhibition in Katzen Arts Center, America University Museum,

titled , Tomokazu Matsuyama ” Thousand Regards”, on view April thorugh May 20, 2012. From two-dimensional work to sculpture, and installation.

Tomokazu Matsuyama combines traditional Edo and Meiji period imagery with contemporary motifs and pattering to blend Eastern and Western aesthetics.

Matsuyama’s art is reflective of his own bicultural experience and in attemp to resit naive cultural categoraization.

This exhibtion is co-held by Japan Embassy and Japan Foundation

The Nike Graphic Studio is excited to announce its 2nd art exhibition and benefit. This time the Studio brings together sport and art in the competitive and exhilarating spirit of March Madness: Old School vs. New School. The showcase will display a select group of Nike designers who will harness their collective creativity and Nike DNA in various mediums from street inspired stencil art and typography to hand-painted canvases and three-dimensional creations. The proceeds generated from the show will go to support Self Enhancement, Inc. (SEI), a nonprofit organization which helps at-risk urban youth realize their full potential, find their strengths and ignite their passion.
